Privacy Notice
Last updated — 25 April 2026
This Privacy Notice describes how RETRI STUDIO ("we", "us", "our", trading as "Eloquent") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our wedding speech composition service. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Information you provide — your name, the names of the couple, your relationship, stories, and the qualities you wish to highlight in the speech.
- Contact details — your email address, collected by our payment provider at checkout for receipts and refund requests.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage telemetry collected automatically when you visit the site.
- Support correspondence — any messages you send to us.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the Service — generating, displaying, and storing your speech.
- To deliver your purchase and provide customer support.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analysis.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal basis
We process your data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have requested.
- Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the Service.
- Consent — for any optional marketing communications.
- Legal obligation — where required by applicable law.
4. Who we share data with
- Payment provider (Merchant of Record) — Paddle acts as the seller of record for our orders, handling payment, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, AI inference, analytics, and customer support tooling. They process data only on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where required.
- Authorities — where compelled by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
We retain your speech inputs and outputs for as long as your session is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow you to return and download your speech (typically 12 months). Order and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable law (typically 6–10 years). After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. UK and EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We will respond to verified requests within one month.
To exercise any right, write to privacy@eloquent.example.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review — to protect your personal data. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies required for the site to function (such as remembering your session). We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies in the future, we will update this notice and request consent where required.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
