This Cookie Policy explains how RETRI STUDIO (trading as "Eloquent") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It complements our Privacy Notice. As Eloquent is operated from Estonia, this policy is written to meet the requirements of the Estonian Electronic Communications Act and the EU GDPR / ePrivacy framework.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.

2. Categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function: remembering your speech draft in your browser session, securing the checkout, and storing your cookie preferences. These do not require consent under Estonian and EU law.
  • Payment provider — when you open the checkout, Paddle (our Merchant of Record) sets cookies necessary to process your payment, prevent fraud, and meet tax obligations.
  • Analytics (optional) — if enabled, used to understand aggregate site usage. Only set after you give consent.
  • Marketing (optional) — we do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them, they will only be set after you give consent and this policy will be updated.

3. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working service. All other cookies are set only with your prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent, in line with the Estonian Electronic Communications Act (§103¹) and the EU GDPR.

4. Managing your preferences

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the button below. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.

5. Retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies (such as your consent record) are kept for up to 12 months, after which we will ask again.
